Oil and Water
04:53
|
|||
On his happy hard knee,
I sit with softly stirred eyes.
I had been crying earlier,
Now I'm becoming my disguise.
Her head is so much darker,
So much darker than mine.
She suits your taste, of humour.
French, mahogany wine.
Pain is the medicine,
but I am a child afraid to swallow,
the antidote.
If I don't choke,
I'll be so good tomorrow.
And it's not that easy,
The petrichor rising.
Santosha polyphony,
The petrichor rising.
Oil and water merging,
Creating a rainbow stain.
Oil and water mergining,
Creating a rainbow stain.
And it's not that easy,
It's not that easy,
It's not that easy,
But it's better this way.
Love is the medicine,
but I am a child afraid to swallow,
the antidote.
If I don't choke,
I'll be so good tomorrow.
Stream of consciousness,
Should you be dammed?
A pond of weaknesses,
Clogged up with sand.
Don't tell anyone cause,
Then they'll know they'll be grand.
Stream of consciousness,
Should you be dammed?

Libra
05:08
|
|||
Trying to keep the balance,
Between freedom and loneliness.
Trying to keep the balance,
Between love and lust.
Lately my balance, is easily swayed.
When all that I know, is turning to dust.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
I can’t bring it down, to the ground, to see.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
It’s caused more problems for man than me.
The powers of the mind,
Are stronger than body.
But your body invades,
The thoughts in my head.
All is balanced,
While you are around me,
But when you leave me,
I am weighted and wed.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
I can’t bring it down, to the ground, to see.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
It’s caused more problems for man than me.
The scales of justice,
Are hidden in the stars,
But I watch the night,
To be closer to you.
And as Libra watches,
My doubts and desires,
Not even the Zodiac,
Could decide what I should do.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
I can’t bring it down, to the ground, to see.
Dust, dust, swirling around,
It’s caused more problems for man than me.
Give me an answer,
Astronomical folly.
Show me a way,
Be it fickle and false.
I just don’t want
To make a decision,
And bare the weight of it being,
A merit or a fault.
Dust, dust, swirling around
I can’t bring it down, to the ground, to see.
Dust, dust swirling around,
It’s caused more problems for man than me.

House of Cards
04:40
|
|||
This house of cards began a lean to.
That's what friends are for.
In order, to remain standing,
We all need support.
Love triangles, depend upon each other.
But all our angles and perspectives differ.
God forbid you slam a door in anger,
Or embrace the earthquake of belly laughter,
Or let escape your rebellious teenager sighs,
Of pleasure,
The house will fall asunder.
King and Queen, Jack and Joker,
We all must silently take our sides.
Except the virtuous ace card,
She just can't decide.
Until the blow of her overheard whisper,
Brings the fall.
'I didn't mean it!,
I felt a draft at the door and I couldn't ignore it!'
Give into your rounded shoulders,
Or trust enough to unveil,
The wrinkling twitches and flushing tears,
That roll across your face like waves.
The patterns of the universe.
The inevitable cyclical ending...
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.
Within a structure so delicate it cannot bind us.
Within a structure so vulnerable it can't protect us.
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.
Keep the peace, between the walls, that divide us.

Once it was easy for me,
To wear my heart,
So innocently,
On my sleeve.
But 'tis easy to wear,
Your heart on your sleeve,
When you've left all your clothes,
On the floor.
Ignorant to my nakedness,
I paraded around.
My reflection but a shadow,
I was facing on the ground.
Or a ripple in the water,
No time to compare,
To others around me,
Be them plain or fair.
I remember so vividly
the day that fear arrived.
Handed down inside a mirror,
By a lover afraid of pride.
And it fueled like a fire,
When the glass hit sunlight.
Realising my nakedness,
I ran and hid from sight.
Now I carry my fear,
Like a jacket in the sun.
Just in case it rains,
Oh what a clever burden.
And I carry my fear,
Like a jacket in the sun.
Just in case it rains,
Oh what a clever burden.
And I carry my fear
Like a jacket in the sun.
Just in case it rains,
Oh what a clever burden.
And I carry my fear
Like a jacket in the sun.
Just in case it rains,
Oh what a clever burden,
What a clever burden to bear.
